Small Baize Scraps
Buy small baize scraps and offcuts by weight. These pieces are all offcuts and scraps from the beautiful items we’ve made in our workshop. This means that there will be irregular shapes and sizes, triangles and curves, long thin strips, and possibly including selvedges or chalk marks (you can use the reverse side of chalk marked pieces). The baize sold will be of or slightly over the weight ordered, and it is the same premium quality baize that we sell by the roll. Please note, we can’t guarantee that all the pieces will be from the same dye batch.
Projects for Small Baize Scraps
These scraps are ideal for use in small projects, like putting on the bottom of chess pieces or as an anti-scratch bottom for small items of ornamental ceramics. They could also be used for decorative flourishes for embroidery and appliqué projects. Small pieces of baize are also perfect for covering buttons, furnishings and clothes for dolls houses, lining drawer runners, and for embellishing falconry hoods. Or how about weaving them to make your own textured fabrics and furnishings?
