Navy Blue Lightweight Melton cloth is a traditional cloth, made of wool and woven in a twill pattern. Melton cloth is typically thick with a felt-like smooth surface. This lightweight variation provides a versatile alternative for fashion and interior designers. Unlike other twill weave cloth, the pattern is hidden, which arises from the finishing processes used. Because of its dense, quasi-felted texture, it frays minimally or not at all. Furthermore, the pure wool used in this fabric, means that it is both hardwearing and warm.

• The size of each offcut is in centimetres.

Pieces Marked ‘End of Roll’

End of roll pieces are a much more economical way to buy a remnant of top quality baize. Tape secures the fabric on a full roll and when this is removed it leaves a corresponding mark on the fabric. However, the inside of the fabric (the right side) is unaffected so end of roll pieces are great for projects where only one side of the fabric will be seen. For example:
